It has some features that I haven't seen before and I also thought that the information is presented in a user-friendly manner. Pros: The search engine on this site draws from a number of different job sites, so it consolidates your search and can save you time. I liked how you could choose to search according to how recently the jobs were posted, which keeps you from applying for a job that has been sitting there for several months. The job listings themselves were easy to read and it links you back to the job site that had the original posting. Also a great feature is a national map that shows where each job is posted. You can click on the state that you want and then there are little markers for each area where there is a job listed. If you click on the marker, it gives you a list of all of the jobs in that location that match your keywords. This map feature is something I have never seen on other job sites and I thought it was a great addition. This site, like most other job search sites, also offers the option to sign up for job alerts by email. Cons: This site does not offer a dropdown list of job categories to use in your search. I prefer to have a list like that because sometimes with a keyword search you miss jobs because you don't know what specific words the employer used. Honestly, that is the only thing I didn't like about this site. Otherwise, I thought it was very useful and intend to keep it in mind for future job searches. The Bottom Line: Jobster.com is a great job seeking website. It is not as well known as other sites, but it is just as high in quality. It makes your job search easier by searching other job sites like Monster.com, Hotjobs.com and Careerbuilder.com so that you can see all of those job listings in one place. Definitely keep this site in mind as you are looking for work.
