Have you ever considered applying for a temporary holiday job or perhaps working part time at one besides your regular job or career? There is a huge need for extra help throughout the holiday season, which may provide a great opportunity to make supplement your income or keep you going until you find something more permanent.

Maybe high energy prices have really put a dent in your regular budget or you have even had to dip into your savings. Perhaps work is a little slow or you have even been laid off. It could just be that you could use some extra Christmas shopping money. A holiday job can help you with any or all of these things.

Sometimes people think such work is beneath them, but any work that's done right, is good and respectable work. Even if you are overqualified or simply dislike mundane tasks such as cashiering and stocking shelves, you may find that a part time job wrapping gifts isn't too bad. You might also learn to like a temporary job overseeing the shipping of packages. It may keep you hopping, but boxes are nice and quiet and they don't fuss or put pressure on you.

Help WantedThere are all kinds of different businesses that need extra help during the busy holiday season. Obviously, retailers are going to be one of the largest, but other service businesses may also be looking for extra help. Restaurants serve more large groups and banquets, and people tend to tip quite generously during the holiday season.
